We believe that compassion and a kind heart are necessary for a better, healthier tomorrow, which is why our family enjoys giving back to the community both professionally and personally. We founded God and Christ Cares with the focus of serving the community’s needs through outreach, education, volunteering, and pro bono health care.
Here at God and Christ Cares, we will continue our community outreach and support directly and through a variety of organizational partners. One such partner is Haven for Hope, a local transformation center that helps homeless individuals and families regain stability. We are working together with Haven for Hope toward improving the lives of their members through medical care, counseling, and holistic recovery oriented care. We are passionate about improving the lives of our clients through compassion, servant leadership, and the pursuit of excellence.
Our founders believe that “life is our most precious gift,” and as such should not be taken lightly. Our health programs “aim to honor and nurture the lives of every individual” who is looking for care—including individuals who do not have insurance or cannot afford health care. For this reason, we offer pro bono health care services on a case-by-case, sliding scale basis. The costs of our services are based on a person or family’s income to ensure that anyone can afford our care. For some people, the services may be free, for others, we strive to be both affordable and accessible.
Affordable and accessible services are about more than just the monetary cost. At God and Christ Care, we believe that serving others begins with education. People cannot make informed decisions about their lives or health care without first being educated. Thus, we are always looking for new ways to teach the community about the topics of mental, physical, and emotional health. We are available for public speaking events where we can discuss the health care needs of the underserved communities and how the programs currently in place can better help these communities.
We primarily focus on the underserved populations in the San Antonio area and work regularly with volunteers to donate clothing, housewares, and food to the homeless and needy. We seek out and enjoy working with a variety of charities, from food banks to clothing donation services, so we may better help the community at large.
Our volunteers, as well as the health care professionals employed by God and Christ Care, believe strongly in “And.” And means more—more compassion, more love, more willingness to help. We seek to pull communities together through tolerance and humanity.
